Krishna Desai

Undergraduate Researcher

Krishna Desai is majoring in Political Science and Economics, with minors in Spanish and International Studies. She is a Presidential Scholar from Ridgeland, Mississippi. She has participated in the development of the Rebuilding Main Street game from its earliest conception, and she contributed greatly to the initial experimental designs for the Fall 2018 pilot study, which she also helped to implement. Ms. Desai has taken the lead on the graphic design and production of all promotional and informational materials for the Civic Life Lab. She has also presented the lab’s research at national conferences. She is an active member and executive officer of several student organizations at Mississippi State University, including No Lost Generation, Starkville Pride, Mississippi Model Security Council, Collegiate Model UN, Global Legal Empowerment Brigades, and the College of Arts & Sciences Student Ambassadors. She has earned multiple academic honors, including the Henry Family Undergraduate Research Award and the 2018 Andi Leadership Institute Fellowship. Upon graduating, she hopes to pursue a law degree and become a practicing immigration attorney.
